Commercial interior and storage specialist Butler & Willow has become the latest supporter of twenty one year old Bryony Balen’s British Antarctic Record attempt.
Derbyshire born Bryony is aiming to become the youngest Briton to reach the South Pole from the treacherous Hercules Inlet. The current record holder is Andrew Cooney, who was twenty three when he completed the 1,100km trek on 2nd January 2003.
Bryony is taking a year out from her Geography degree at Newcastle University to focus on a fierce training regime and to prepare mentally and physically for the challenge ahead.
Butler & Willow has joined an array of businesses and individuals whose generous donations will make the expedition to the South Pole possible.
The company based in Long Eaton has 150 years in the office fit out and storage industry. Butler & Willow works across a variety of industry sectors, from fit outs and storage solutions to mezzanine floors and mobile shelving. It works closely with each client to provide tailored solutions to meet individual needs.
Bert Willow, Joint Managing Director commented: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Bryony in her British record attempt. She is a determined, talented individual who deserves to be supported in her quest to reach her goal and we wish her the best of luck.”
