Helping GAP to expand its portfolio of UK stores

GAP

Scope

As part of the American-based fashion retailer’s UK expansion programme, it wanted to increase the storage capacity of a number of outlets. Butler & Willow have worked closely with Gap for many years, helping them to maximise its stockroom storage capability and at the same time, they consulted us about making these storage areas tidier and easier to navigate.

Our solution

Having worked with GAP for many years we had a clear understanding of the brand and its requirements. This stood us in great stead to create a versatile and innovative system of back-of-house shelving to meet its storage needs. We delivered the Unirack modular system to completely re-designed stockrooms. This gave Gap the option to store either boxed or hanging garments within the same racks, providing a much-needed solution to seasonal range changes.

What we did

  • Arrow Comprehensive initial surveys of all the sites
  • Arrow Analysis of how items were currently stored on existing shelving and what items required more space
  • Arrow Installed our Unirack modular system
  • Arrow Our work led to GAP asking us to provide similar installations in France, Italy and Ireland

Throughout the project, the Butler & Willow team were very helpful and worked hard to get the job done, as well as working to store requirements. I’d like to say a big thank you.
