MEET CHLOE WILLOTT, HEAD OF PEOPLE + CULTURE

What do you love about your role?

Our amazing People! No two days are the same in my role which is why I love it so much.  Variety is the spice of life so they say, and I definitely have the variety as Head of People & Culture for Butler & Willow.  We are a team of wonderful people with very different, wonderful personalities! And that’s what makes it so much fun to work here…along with the fact that we create amazing workspaces of course!

How does a people strategy effect the business?

Having a solid People Strategy is incredibly important within any business in order to recruit and retain talent and to ensure our people are thriving.  We run a well-structured and fair on-boarding process, we understand our teams requirements to learn and develop their skills, we listen and appraise at set intervals throughout the year and we motivate, promote and reward.

What are your thoughts on wellbeing in the workplace?

I believe that a happy healthy team makes for increased productivity and engagement. Many of us spend more time at work than we do at home, so coming to the office has to be a fun and positive experience.  We understand the importance of a good work/life balance and have put the measures in place to ensure that our people have the opportunity to work agile, flexibly and from different locations.  We celebrate each-others success, whether that be positive happenings in their personal lives or in the workplace.  We spend time together beyond the working week, which strengthens relationships and helps to create a positive and friendly workplace culture.

What is your favourite part of the office and why?

My favourite part of the office is the collaboration area in the centre of the open-plan space.  Sitting here, I get to be part of the action.  I can see incredible designs coming together and hear about some of the exciting opportunities.
