The Brief

Due to continued growth and expansion, Sharmans acquired an old barn in need of renovation to accommodate increasing employee numbers. The brief was for an open-plan, spacious and light working environment to include a modern design that nodded to the building’s industrial heritage.

The Build

We worked closely with the client throughout the entire build programme, which was delivered within the forecasted 8 week timeline. Working within a sensitive, character-led environment, we completed the strip-out of the old space and the creation of a modern environment including meeting rooms, breakout space, canteen and facilities and furniture installation.

The Finished Article

In support of Sharmans growth plans, we decided to build a new state-of-the-art commercial office to accommodate the growing number of staff and future-proof the business. In order to deliver this, we had the daunting task of converting a disused 1860’s industrial ex-shirt works into a functional modern workspace environment.

Our key challenge was to find a “turn key” partner who would manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the fit-out whilst working hand in glove with our own team dedicated to the project (David and Dev). Right from the beginning, the team at Butler and Willow Interiors demonstrated not only their capacity to lead the project but also to facilitate the process to allow us to design an environment that blended the traditional structure of the building with a spacious modern work environment.

The fit-out was completed on time and surpassed our expectations. The integrated design of the canteen, welfare facilities, office space and furniture fit seamlessly with the fabric of the building and perfectly reflects the brand image we’ve worked hard to build over recent years.
